CEDARS has a rich 60 year tradition of improving the lives of abused, neglected and otherwise vulnerable children and their families. As one of the largest nonprofit child caring organizations in Nebraska, CEDARS is committed to keeping each child safe while helping them to rebuild or find their forever family.
Safe & Sound
CEDARS is building on this strong foundation of helping kids in crisis by purposefully and diligently developing a service delivery model that supports a comprehensive and holistic approach to meeting the needs of the families we serve. The "Safe & Sound" concept provides a consistent family-centered, strength-based, intensive therapeutic system and offers a seamless approach to service delivery.
"Safe and Sound" allows staff to focus on developing and maintaining the "safety, stability and enduring family relationships" for the children, youth and families in our care, while providing families with a consistent and comprehensive means to navigate CEDARS continuum of care.
The development of Safe & Sound has grown from the philosophy that "CEDARS staff are committed to helping children, youth and families we serve, as well as the staff who serve them, to pursue health and wholeness through the enduring values that are central to our work and CEDARS core values."
Through this service delivery model, families will be able to access any or all of CEDARS services as needed and successfully navigate other community services. It will give families the tools and assistance they need to recover from the crisis they have experienced, and help them regain the stability necessary to keep children safe from harm and build enduring family relationships.
