At The Arbors, direct care staff is trained using the "Best Friends Approach to Care." A "Best Friend" is a family member, friend or member of the resident's care team who empathizes with the resident's situation, remains loving, positive and dedicated to ensuring the resident has a sense of security and value. Staff members get to know each resident's life story, preferences and interests in order to better enhance and personalize the resident's experience. Designed to support secure assisted independence, The Arbors is a one-level community with access to beautiful, spacious outdoor courtyards. All 32 suites are private and have large accessible bathrooms. Each room also features an enclosed display case for showcasing photos, collections or other memorabilia that promotes reminiscing and recognition.
Amenities such as a the large dining rooms, the greenhouse, the family living areas, the all-season room and the aviary, create a pleasant and inviting atmosphere. The unique design at The Arbors not only allows, but encourages residents to walk and explore, while providing quiet niches for sitting along the way to converse or rest.
