The Communication Center of Excellence includes a network of researchers, educators , engineers , clinicians, students and patients and their families who work with researchers in the Communication Center. The focus of this collaborative network is to conduct clinically relevant research that focuses on improving the communication abilities of individuals with acquired neurologic and degenerative conditions. This unique blend of collaborators has enabled the Communication Center to be actively involved in the development of new assistive technologies and clinical treatment strategies.
