Specialized Programs & Services

Background: Madonna's Adaptive Sports & Recreation Program serves patients as well as community members with disabilities, providing services in three basic areas: Open Recreation, Competitive Sports, and Adaptive Sports Workshops.

Ages: Madonna serves people of all ages and types of physical disabilities. It is an integral part of the following programs at Madonna:

• Stroke
  

Volumes: During its most recent fiscal year ending June 30, 2007 Madonna served 100 inpatients and outpatients and 538 community members in the Adaptive Sports & Recreation Program.

In addition to open recreation activities, Madonna held 3 Adaptive Sports & Recreation Workshops (Adaptive Sports Fair, Quad Rugby, and First Swing Golf) with 81 participants, and hosted two competitions with a total of 90 participants.
