Brian Page, Director
Brian Page was born in 1963 at Little Company of Mary Hospital. The youngest of five children, he was raised in the Beverly Community where he attended St. Barnabas Grade School and Brother Rice High School. He went on to graduate from the University of Illinois Champaign/Urbana with a Liberal Arts degree in Political Science and Economics. It was there that he began dating Laura DeRose, who would become Laura DeRose Page in 1990. Today, Brian and Laura live in Oak Lawn and are busy with their own children – Rachel, a junior at Mother McAuley, and Matt, a 7th grader at St. Linus. When Brian isn’t coaching Matt or attending one of Rachel’s theatrical performances, he works as an independent financial planner.
Since 1986, Brian has worked in the financial services industry, initially as a trader at the Chicago Board of Options Exchange where, in 1988, he established his own trading company and managed trading positions involving stocks, options, futures and commodities for himself as well as other traders. After leaving CBOE in 2001, Brian used his expertise to begin working with individuals in need of financial advice. He specializes in long term investing using a goal oriented philosophy.
Another philosophy Brian believes in is that of giving something back to the community and Park Lawn has allowed him to do this in a variety of ways. Jim Page, Brian’s brother, is a Park Lawn resident at the Orland CILA and a workshop attendee. Jim began to work at the workshop in 2000 and moved into the Orland CILA home in 2004. The opportunities that Park Lawn has provide for Jim make it apparent that any contribution which helps Park Lawn should be considered an honor.
