Helen Dixson, Education Coordinator
Helen Dixson, RN, BSN is the Education Coordinator for the Cancer Coalition, where she coordinates professional and public education concerning cancer prevention, screening, treatment and research throughout southwest Georgia.
Prior to joining the Coalition in 2008, she was a Telemedicine Liaison with the Wellpoint Georgia Telemedicine Program, and for three years served as Continuing Education Coordinator with the Southwest Georgia Area Health Education Center in Albany. Throughout a lifelong career in healthcare, Helen has worked as a Chronic Disease Prevention Coordinator and a Tobacco Use Prevention Coordinator with the Southwest Health District, as well as a Health Educator, Independent Nurse Consultant, and staff and charge nurse at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.
A native and resident of Lee County, Georgia, she received her RN degree form Darton College and her BSN degree from the Medical College of Georgia.
